St Paul's church was on Lozells Road was designed by J A Chatwin in Perpendicular style and built in red brick with stone dressings in 1880. It comprised a chancel, nave, aisles, and a north-west tower. A parish was assigned out of St. Silas, Lozells the following year.

Due to falling numbers, the building was sold in 1982 to the Assemblies of the First Born Church of God. The congregation joined that of St Silas’ Church, Lozells, and a new church was built for the amalgamated parishes on Lozells Road at the corner of Berners Street. See St Silas'.
