St Boniface Church on Quinton Road West was built with the new outer Birmingham estates which were being developed in the 1950s and -60s. Designed by the Birmingham architectural practice, Bromilow, While, and Smeaton, this building is based on their Longbridge church, St John the Baptist which they had built two years previously.

Built of brick with a steeply-pitched roof and low eaves, a clerestory is provided by dormer windows. There is an octagonal bell turret topped with louvred gables.

A parish was assigned out of that of Christ Church Quinton in 1958.
